Because of my Grandma, Zola Sand, I have a passion for sewing. Every summer as a kid my brother and I would spend a week with my Grandma and Grandpa on the farm, and my Grandma and I would begin our sewing frenzy. We would sew from morning until night only breaking to make meals and eat them. One week we made three dresses, another she taught me to embroidery and sent me home with stacks of quilt blocks that several years later turned into a quilt. I have many fond memories of sewing with my Grandma.
This is a quilt my Grandma made.
Grandma at a quilt show with her cat quilt. I was excited to find this pattern on e-bay a few months ago. The girls and I are all working on blocks to recreate our own cat quilts. I will post a pic of our blocks soon.

Good-bye Grandma, I love you. You will be missed.
